Exploring notions of ritual and transformation through the use of basic materials such as raw pigments, cotton thread, labels and paper, Michelle uses many repetitive elements in her work.

The resulting patterns and distortions often reflect the imperfect hand of (feminine) human intervention that affects everything around us, even, and perhaps especially, in a world of computer-controlled precision.

Michelle’s works have been described as “other worldly”, “blissful” and “meditative”. Her textured surfaces and delicate spaces challenge our ideas of perception and perfection. Michelle is currently based in Dorset, UK.
